Blogmas – The Anniversary of Mum – 16th December 2019

I don’t have much to say today. Today is the anniversary of mum’s death so I didn’t want to do anything or see anyone.

I planned on having a chilled day just spending time with Bella. We decided we were going to watch films all day. Luckily Bella was extremely well behaved and kept herself to herself. She was just happy playing on her own.

We did of course open her advent calendar. It turned out her toy was a little hat for her reindeer.

He looked really cute in his little hat.

Bella had also missed a day so she opened that one as well. Behind that door was a cute little polar bear.

Our chilled out day continued with watching films. I just curled up on the sofa. Luckily Liam and Daly were around to keep an eye on Bella so I could mope. I lit mum’s candles that sit with her photo. It’s nice just having her photo in the corner and lighting the candles as a way to remember her.

In the spirit of our movie day Bella decided she wanted to watch a Barbie movie. It was actually pretty good. It was about magical dolphins and mermaids – weird but interesting. Bella certainly enjoyed it.

In the evening Rachel and Oli came round for dinner. We had decided to get together to just be together today. That is an awful sentence but oh well there it is people. We had fish and chips for dinner and it was just nice to spend an hour or two together.

I had bought Bella a build your own Christmas tree. After dinner Bella, Rachel and I all sat together to try to build it but we didn’t get far. Bella didn’t want any help. So we let her do it herself.

Today was a down day but I think I’m aloud one a year at least.

We love you mum!

Until next time

Love CiCi x
